This art nouveau swan in sky blue is a new pouring of a beautiful vintage mold.

We love the classic lines of this vase, and we think we’ve given it a fun modern touch with our color palette.

It measures approximately 6″ tall and is 3″ in diameter at it’s widest point, making it the perfect vase for smaller bouquets. Check out our pink version here.

Made in cooperation with our friend Lee Roy Cain, a local ceramics artist, all stages in the production of our ceramics were done by him or us in his studio. Everything is fired twice or three times, which makes them weather-proof (even in Wisconsin!) We do all of our painting on greenware (instead of bisque) so our ceramics show no brush strokes and have a more profession appearance than most homemade ceramics.

It’s fun looking everything up and learning their history, taking pictures, and listing… you get instant gratification as soon as someone favorites your item or adds it to a treasury. I think my very favorite item for today would have to be the vintage (working!) kids electric stove. Made by Empire, it’s named the “Little Lady” and was made in Two Rivers, WI. The very best part is that when it’s plugged in, both the stove top and oven warm up. I can’t imagine giving it to a child in the world of today, but I imagine it’s their loss. How fun!

p.s. I made that muffin in my adult stove, not the “Little Lady”, unfortunately. It’s a recipe modified from Smitten Kitchen‘s Double Coconut Muffin to include raspberries. Delicious!

After years and years of this being my little space in the world to upload photographs, I’ve finally decided to take things seriously and start a business. My Mom (Caryn), and I have decided to take the plunge and try to sell arts and crafts. What does this mean? I spent the day working on an etsy page, where we will not only sell things that we make but also fun vintage items that we find. We’re booked to have booths in several Arts and Craft fairs throughout the spring and summer, and my day job is not to create things. Lucky me!
